Ahh! I always feel like a kid on Christmas when I finally get to share new music with y’all!
I started writing “When I’m Gone” a couple of years ago and let it sit (or marinate, as we like to say) for a while.
With some encouragement from my husband, I decide to dust it off and finish it up a couple months ago!
This song is as folk-y as it’s gotten for me, folks. Like there’s a twangin’ BANJO on it.

I’m very grateful to my friend Ryan Shupe for coming and adding his instrumental magic to this track – I think he took it exactly where I wanted it to go!
This song is a little darker and more haunting than what I usually write, so I thought it was only appropriate to release it around Halloween.
It’s about the desire we all have for our love to withstand the test of time.
