Defining Your Why

Hailey Gardiner Defining Your Why

What is your why?

Why do you write songs? Why do you love to sing? Why is living a creative life so important to you?

When we connect to our why, we start to lay the foundation for every little thing we do.

Nobody wants to move through life feeling like a basket case, unloved and unwelcome. Full of uncertainty, doubt, and fear. We all want to feel like we’re a part of something greater than ourselves.

When we define our motivation behind our actions, everything we do has greater meaning.

What is your motivation behind the things that you choose to do?

Is it to lift yourself up above others? To be seen? To be heard?

Are you motivated by attention? By fame? By money? By fear?

Or can you shift your why and connect to a higher source of motivation:

LOVE.

Can you be motivated by love for God, for yourself, and for others?

Love for your craft and gratitude for your talents?

Because when we do so, we are opening ourselves up to an amazing power that can connect us to each other.

I create because I love to serve others and bring them joy through music.

I create because doing so helps me to feel connected to the source of perfect love.

I create because I want to point those who come to know me to the greatest source of love happiness in my life, my Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the giver of every good gift.

If I ever feel discouraged, I remember my why. My purpose. To feel  love, give love, and share love.

What you do might not be as important as why you do it.

Define your why and connect to love!
