And here we are again!

Celebrating another Aloha Friday!

I know that the past couple of months have been really challenging for many, and want to express my gratitude to all of the healthcare workers and caregivers who are working to protect and heal those who have been impacted the most by COVID-19.

Though we have had to make adjustments to the way we live our daily lives, there is still so much good in the world and many things to be grateful for and ENJOY!

I wanted to share a few of those things that have helped me find peace and happiness this month.

Inspiration: Finding Peace.

There are several scriptures that have touched my heart and have brought me comfort that I wanted to share with you!

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

It can be easy to give into feelings of fear and anxiety during uncertain times, but I am buoyed up by the reminder that the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, can ease our fears with the gift of His perfect peace.

This is the kind of peace that only He can offer. This peace allows us to still “be of good cheer” regardless of our circumstances.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

It helps me to remember that fear never comes from the Father. Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, will only provide us with power, love, and steadiness in our minds and hearts.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

Hannah Kerr is one of my favorite Christian artists and I have been listening to her “Listen More” EP every single day.

The messages of her songs “In The Meantime”, “Ordinary”, and “Split The Sea” resonate so much with me right now, and remind me of God’s infinite love, power, and goodness that can be found in every moment if we’re looking and listening intently!

Recipes:

Y’all know I love anything that can be made in just a few minutes by tossing ingredients into a blender, and these Healthy Carrot Muffins are now my new favorite blender recipe! So delicious!

My sister Allie also sent us this Chicken Shawarma Salad with a lemon tahini dressing that we tried last week and loved. A quick and easy dinner!

Aaaand on the not-so-healthy-but-perfectly-delicious-and-necessary front, I made these Crinkle Top Brownies and HEAVENS TO BETSY.

I ate those things for breakfast for a few days straight. This is seriously the perfect brownie recipe!

I want to make them again and use brown butter instead of just melting the butter in the microwave…OHOHO. Yes.

What’s making me LAUGH:

Two words.

Trey Kennedy.

Particularly this video.

He just gets me, you know?

And lest I forget, I have to give a shout out to all of the early 2000’s Hilary Duff movies.

Bless my husband for allowing me to indulge when it was my turn to choose the movie.

We’ve watched the Lizzie McGuire Movie, A Cinderella Story, and Cheaper By The Dozen and I STILL love them all!!

What sorts of things are helping you smile lately? I’d love to hear!

Have a wonderful weekend!
